Frequently asked questions regarding transaction screening, threat scores, and compliance.
What is an AML address check?
An AML check evaluates public blockchain transaction history to determine if a wallet has interacted with illegal entities, mixers, or hackers, assigning a risk score based on the FATF regulatory body guidelines.
Does screening require my private key?
No. The system only evaluates public transaction records on the blockchain. You should never share your private keys, seed phrases, or Know Your Customer (KYC) documents with untrusted sources.
Why is a wallet address flagged?
Addresses are flagged if they have direct transaction history with sanctioned mixers (like Tornado Cash), hacker wallets, or fraud platforms. If your score is high, check recent transaction histories.
